Ellon Primary School:‘We stand as EPS: Engaged, Positive, Supported’
At Ellon Primary School, our Complex Needs Provision (CNP) supports pupils with significant and complex needs across the Formartine Area. This service embodies our vision for everyone to be Engaged, Positive, and Supported (EPS), ensuring all pupils can achieve their potential within our school community.
The CNP team has a high level of specialist expertise and works from the principles of the Curriculum for Excellence. Their approach is rooted in our CARE aims and REACH values, with a strong focus on developing practical life skills, personal self-help skills, communication, and self-regulation. By tailoring learning to individual needs, we ensure that Curiosity drives learning and that every pupil feels Connected and Achieving.
In line with Aberdeenshire Council's guidelines, our support is flexible and comprehensive. The CNP offers:
Outreach Support: Our specialist team provides consultation, strategies, or in-class support to schools across the Formartine Area. This collaboration reflects our value of cooperation and ensures that every voice counts.
Assessment Placements: We offer short-term placements for a thorough assessment of a pupil's specific learning needs.
Blended Placements: Pupils can receive a combination of support within their mainstream classroom and targeted, specialist sessions within the CNP.
This person-centred approach helps to create a learning environment where all pupils are empowered to be Resilient and Honest in their journey toward personal growth and success.
