Community links are a valued part of school life. The school is used for a range of community activities, including after school sports and activity clubs.
We accommodate the Ellon Out of School Club which provides before and after school care for pupils in Ellon.
The school has an active Parent Council and Fundraising Group which support the school and its role in the community. These groups support school improvement activities and raise additional funds to provide many extras for the pupils in the school. Parents and Carers are encouraged to become involved in the work of the school through the Parent Council or volunteering within the school.
Strong links exist between the school and the community i.e. Ellon Parish Church and local businesses.
Pupils are encouraged to voice their views and opinions about the work and improvement of the school through being involved in the Pupil Council, House Captains, Eco Committee, Digital Leaders, Play Leaders and Makaton Ambassadors.
Several after school clubs are run by staff and parents including netball.
Devolved budgets are managed in accordance with authority guidelines in order to support planned improvements in the school.
