Each household is assigned a place in a specific school zone. While most children attend their zoned school, families have the right to apply for enrolment at any school within Aberdeenshire. However, if you opt not to apply for your zoned school, we cannot guarantee placement there. We recommend applying to both your zoned school and any preferred schools you may have. There is no limit to the number of schools you can apply to. Priority for school places is given to applicants residing within the designated zone.

Your child is entitled to attend the school allocated to your catchment area. Please contact the school directly or complete the online form to enrol your child in the school allocated to your catchment area.
If you are moving during the holidays you can complete the online form and approach your new catchment school on the first day of term for enrolment. Please bring your child’s birth certificate and proof of your address to complete enrolment.
