Welcome to Ellon Nursery

A warm welcome to our newly refurbished Nursery. Our setting provides and variety of indoor and outdoor learning spaces for our youngest pupils. 

We understand the importance of children having a positive experience when they start in the Nursery. Every child is assigned a Key Worker while they are at Nursery. The Key Worker will make contact with you as a family before your child starts with us. They will come to your home to meet yourself and your child, to introduce themselves and to get to know you all. While they are on their visit, paperwork will be completed and you are able to chat through any concerns you may have. This is a great opportunity to share information so that as a setting we have lots of information about your child that will help us to settle them into the Nursery. 

Initial sessions at the Nursery will be shorter, this is to allow your child to have a taste of the setting without being overwhelmed by too long a session. If your child settles during the shorter sessions then we will start full sessions. If children find it difficult to be left at Nursery we work closely with parents to ensure children have a positive experience. This may mean your child comes for shorter sessions for a longer period of time until they feel settled. 

What we are aiming for is for your child to be happy to come to Nursery and to enjoy their time with us.
